 Hydrologic Engineering Center (HEC)
The Hydrologic Engineering Center (HEC), an organisation belonging to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers,
was established to assist government in all issues concerning water resources management activities.
Over the years, such support has always stood out for the Corps' continually improving skills in the
technical fields related to hydraulic engineering and water resources planning and management.
Throughout a variety of programs involving different activities (research, training, analysis,
planning and technical assistance), HEC incorporates 'state-of-the-art' procedures and technologies within
its software programs and manuals of wide application. Such products are developed for the Corps, but are made available to public.

As a registered HEC Vendor, BETA Studio receives prompt information directly from HEC about the delivery time and terms of the programs' latest minor or major releases, the products (codes and manuals), the detection of any possible bug (type, importance, interference with other functions of the same product, etc.) and the assistance required for a proper use of the software. BETA

Training |
The training service includes two modules:
BM (Basic Module) - 1-3 days; AM (Advanced Module) - 1-3 days. BM, preparatory to AM, is addressed to
university graduates (hydraulic engineers or similar titles) having at least a one/two-year experience in hydrologic
and/or hydraulic models use and application. The course provides the basic skills to become familiar with the software use and
to start an application session independently.
AM provides the participants with the necessary skills allowing them to manage an application session. Both modules can be
tailored according to the users' understanding of hydrologic/hydraulic concepts and to his specific operational needs.

Information and technical assistance service on the software products' use and application. Service is provided on hourly basis.
